Christian Values

It is our objective to educate pupils academically, socially, morally, culturally and spiritually within a school firmly based on Christian principles and to promote Christian Values within the school as exemplified by the life and teaching of Jesus Christ; with the intent to encourage in pupils core values for lifelong learning. Our school values are distinctly Christian and were chosen by our Christian Community based upon the needs of our unique Bromesberrow community. We draw inspiration and hope from their biblical roots:

RespectThe Ten Commandments (Exodus 20:2-17). Through the Ten Commandments Christian respect God, Others and Themselves by following the rules set out by God.

MotivationDavid and Goliath (1 Samuel 17:50 – 53). The motivation to conquer even if it may seem impossible.

PrideThe Story of Creation (Genesis 1-4). ‘God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good.’ God took pride when creating.

Perseverance-  Noah’s Ark (Genesis 7). Through building the ark, Noah had to show great perseverance when completing the big job that God had asked of him.

Co-operation- Jesus heals a paralysed man (Mark 2:3-11). Through the co-operation of friendship the man was able to be healed.

KindnessThe Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37). Through showing compassion and helping to take care of the injured man, whilst sacrificing their own plans The Good Samaritan demonstrates how kindness often requires something from us.

As a Church of England School, we promote Christian Values through :

  • Daily collective worship
  • Strong and effective RE and PSHE teaching and learning,
  • Our school environment
  • Visits to places of worship and other Church of England schools
